Five of the MAAC teams (Holy Cross, UConn, Canisius for sure and I
suppose Iona and Fairfield as well) have been playing D1 hockey for
years, but were in D2/3 conferences and didn't so play enough D1 games
to qualify.  So their probation is long over.  Quinnipiac is the one
newcomer, having just finished their probation.  I believe the NCAA
has said pretty explicitly that these six teams are eligible.
