thanks, I see what you mean about the sheathe.  I'm relooking the poem as
I type.  It sort of wanders in my head
 
I've read the poem comes from Lionel Johnson's "Mystic
and Cavalier," which begins, "Go from me: I am one of those, who fall."
Pound's "L'Invitation" begins, "Go from me. I am one of those who
spoil" so maybe "A Virginal" is a spin-off of a spin-off (of sorts).
