No more swearing? No more giving the pump in front of the other guy's bench? No gestures? Nice idea but I'll believe it when I don't hear/see it. >- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - >Rules changes for 1999 >2-1-b[added] The visiting team shall wear dark-colored jerseys and >stockings; the home team shall wear light-colored jerseys and stockings. >Light-colored jerseys (e.g., white, gold, yellow or light blue) may be >worn by the visiting team only when the teams have agreed before the >season. I'm not really concerned about this since I am sure it would be tempered by reason. But the "before the season" sounds kind of excessive. A couple of years ago our (Div III) team changed its jerseys and there was a foul-up. The normal home jerseys never arrived. We wound up playing at home in our dark road jerseys. Notice the way the rule is written all the other team would have to do is not agree to this and we would have to forfeit the games. And what happens if a set of jerseys gets lost by the laundry? Ah - sorry about the bandwidth folks. But can't they write rules that allow flexibility for situations?
