Fellow SPORTS-NET Members,

Our thanks to Larry Winer for forwarding the enclosed biographical information
on Paul Haggerty. I'm sure that we all join him in including Paul and his
(extended) family in our thoughts and prayers.

In sorrow,

Dolf

Paul Haggerty USMA '91 served two seasons as Rob Riley's #1 assistant. Paul
was a three time letterwinner at West Point and led the team in scoring in
1991- his senior year. He won the Beukema award as team MVP in his senior
season. Paul served in the active Army until 1993 as a platoon leader of a
Patriot missile battery and in the reserves in his native state of
Connecticut. He coached at Trinity College in Hartford for 2 1/2 years before
his stint at West Point where he succeeded Brian Riley. Paul leaves his wife
Tricia and sons Nicholas 4 and Luke 2.

Paul coached the forwards and will be sorely missed by the Army hockey family.
Paul was the epitome of what one expects a West Pointer to be. He had
standards of personal integrity; a love of hockey; and a keen sense of humor.
Having gone through the rigors of West Point life he could relate to the
players as few West Point Coaches could. A truly fine young man has been lost.
