i asked if i should make anything out of there being a large number of
frosh on both bc and mich.
 
the consensus seems to be no, the talent doesn't look better.  the
large number of freshmen probably has more to do with the large number
of scholarships available (since both schools lost many seniors to
graduation last year) than anything else.  with 18 scholarships, you'd
like to have 4-5 frosh and similar numbers of the other classes
(unless you split the scholarships) and if that gets out of balance,
you see a young team.  some folk referred to it as a rebuilding year
where they just got hot at the right time.
