According to Neil Koepke in today's Lansing State Journal, Michigan State goalie Chad Alban is only the second galie in college hockey history to shoot the puck into the opposing net (the first being Jim Tortorella of Maine vs the Swedish national team in 1980). Two other college hockey goalies (Damian Rhodes of Michigan Tech in 88-89 and Andy Allen of Vermont this season) have gotten credit for goals when they were the last player to touch the puck before it went into the opposing net.
