FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HANOVER YOUTH HOCKEY AND DARTMOUTH ATHLETICS SEEK DONATIONS

HANOVER, N.H. -- Hanover Youth Hockey and the Dartmouth College Athletic
Department are teaming up this weekend to raise money to help the schools of
St. Lawrence and Clarkson -- this weekend's opponents in men's hockey action.

The Ice Storm of the Century has devastated areas of New York State,
Vermont and Canada, and has especially affected life at the schools of Clarkson
and St. Lawrence. Originally scheduled to play at Dartmouth on February 6-7,
those games were moved to Hanover tonight and Saturday as power outages still
plague Canton and Potsdam, N.Y.

Members of the pee wee and bantam hockey teams of the Hanover Youth
Hockey Association will be stationed at the top of the aisles of both games
this weekend between the first and second periods, soliciting contributions.

Coordinating the effort for Dartmouth College is Roger Demment,
associated director of athletics for physical education, intramurals and
recreation and former men's hockey coach at the College.
