We have made improvements so that our boxes automatically generate statistics for every player and team. Unless there is an error in our rosters, there can be no misspellings. We have also used nothing but official boxes this year. Given the sheer volume of additional time that would be necessary to include penalties, it won't be happening any time in the immediate future. We're stretched incredibly thin as it is. But I would think that being able to get statistics on every single D-I player and team and have (no penalty) boxes for all the games to go along with professionally written game reports for an increasing percentage of games amounts to great coverage of the sport. While I can appreciate the interest in penalties, to denigrate USCHO's overall coverage for this one failing we simply can't avoid right now seems akin to saying, "Doesn't that facial mole make Cindy Crawford look ugly?" :-) ------------------------------------------------- Dave Hendrickson [log in to unmask] Hockey East writer for U.S. College Hockey Online http://www.uscollegehockey.com HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
