The unexpected success of Yale and the not-so-unexpected early showings by Cornell and Princeton (not to mention the possibility of Harvard living up to expectations) have got me thinking about a couple of possibilities which would certainly be firsts: 1) We could conceivably see one team win the Ivy League title, another Ivy League team win the ECAC RS title (at the moment, Cornell is in first place in the Ivies, and Yale in the ECAC) and yet a third Ivy school win the ECAC tournament. 2) Dare I mention--with the caveat that it's veeeeeery early right now--the possibility, however remote, that we could see three Ivy teams in the NCAAs? (Point of interest: Laing Kennedy is no longer at Cornell, to the best of my knowledge.) Trivia aside: when was the last time there were *two* of the Ancient ones in the big dance? Okay, that's enough jinxing for one message. Teach me to make cute speculations...
