To punctuate DaveW's "No", I'll volunteer... It's my understanding that this lawsuit is about the "gap" in the average amount of scholarships for women vs men. Since a start-up women's ice hockey team might be expected to offer few scholarships, any settlement of this law suit might have detrimental effects, in that it would add women's athletes, but potentially increase the "gap". From Dale Duff of WZON radio: Maine women student (recruited?) athletes receive on the average about $2,000 less than men. Northeastern ($1,900), UNH (?) and BU ($3,700) are some of the other schools named in this law suit. cheers, but no cheers to the law suit, wayne
