Of course, then there's CBC. :-) On Monday night, Don Cherry ran a real-full of clips of cheap stick shots...mostly high sticks to the face/head. He complained that the instigator rule is ruining the game because if someone sticks you in the face, you can't punch them for fear of being tossed. When the highlights (cheap shots) were rolling, he said something to the effect of, "Look at that! Jeez, it looks like COLLEGE hockey!" :-) Fwiw...when Ron McLean interviewed Brendan Morrison following the season, he didn't ask Brendan about playing at Michigan...he wanted Brendan to discuss his playing days in the BCJHL with Penticton. The entire segment could have been titled, "A bunch of Canadian kids went to the States and won the NCAA title (North Dakota's roster is loaded with Canucks) and another one copped the Hobey Baker Award...how about that!" To be honest, I really like watching CBC and the abusive pro-Canada slant. I only cringe when they kick college hockey, which they have been doing frequently of late. As for Darren Pang...he's the volunteer goalie coach for Notre Dame, so he'd BETTER be good at mentioning college hockey when he gets a chance.
