How sad. I could see it evolving my last couple years in-state in Michigan. Here UM has what should be remembered as "the team of the '90s," something positive to cheer for, but too many immature "fans" have to detract from a great team and draw attention to themselves. Michigan's problem is too many front runners and not enough real hockey fans. Michigan hockey deserves better. (John H.: Help me here with some perspective if I'm wrong; I defer to you...). Steve Klein ---------- Having just read Paula Weston's article about U of M fans and having just returned from the Joe, I feel compelled to "vent". U of M has a tremendous hockey team which more than likely will repeat as National Champions. And it is wonderful that they have such a following of fans, however, it would be nice if the majority of their "fans" would expend as much energy rooting for their own team as they do yelling against the opposing team...
