I just returned home from Grand Rapids and to my pleasant surprise, PASS was
not blacked out in Chicago and I had successfully taped the
Michigan-Minnesota game, in my absence.

Was the MSC feed still blacked out outside of Minnesota? I agree with the
previous posters that the culprit is probably the NCAA and not MSC. It
amazes me that the NCAA doesn't seem to want to promote college hockey. When
it is fortunate enough to find a station that is willing to broadcast the
games, it apparently places numerous restrictions on the broadcast. Are they
taking lessons from the Chicago Blackhawks who still don't televise any home
gamesfor fear of ruining the home gate? BTW the away games are only
broadcast on cable. There is no over the air TV of Blackhawk games in
Chicago.
