Would someone(s) please extol the off-ice virtues that supposedly also weigh something in the Hobey selection. And not only for the three mentioned, but ALL Hobey candidates for that matter. If the Hobey selection committee actually chooses on the basis of east-west or most goals in the conference championship game, or any on on-ice activity SOLELY, then it is okay for the discussion to work on most goals in the championship game (or whatever) - otherwise, a lot more information both interesting and useful as well as promotional for the candidates could be delivered to the hockey readership. If east-west partisanship determines the winner, the prize is not worth having anyway. -glen- HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
