These are the tie-breaking rules for each conference. The CCHA rules seem straightforward, easy to apply and unambiguous. The ECAC rules seem unambiguous, but quite complex (thanks to Bill Fenwick for these); the HE rules seem a bit ambiguous, and the WCHA rules are out of date (when was the last year the WCHA played a 4-game round robin) but may be effective. Corrections and clarifications are welcome ... The pairings given here are based on current standings and have little meaning (if any). In particular Maine is listed in the HE list and is eneligible to the best of my knowledge. These rules appear (probably a dozen times) in the h-l archives. Attempts to update HE and WCHA procedures have met considerably less than successful, but up to now no pairing problems have arisen to provide examples for clarification.
