I think a more interesting question than whether Clarkson-SLU, BU-BC or Minnesota-Wisconsin is a better rivalry would be to identify what each school's arch-rival is (in hockey). As pointed out, just because team A is team B's arch-rival doesn't mean team B is team A's. As has been pointed out, RPI is Union's arch-rival, but Clarkson is RPI's, while Clarkson and SLU are each other's. I know Harvard couldn't care less about Cornell when it comes to football, but I thought the hockey rivalry went both ways. After all, Erich Segal put a Cornell-Harvard game into Love Story. Anyway, I've taken it upon myself to compile a list, which I'll keep at <http://www.cc.utah.edu/~jtw16960/rivals.html>. I've appended what I have so far (?s indicate guesses). I'd recommend people email me privately with contributions.
