A couple of quick observations about Brendan Morrison in regards to "off-ice" considerations of Hobey Baker award. At the Great Lakes Tournament, Brendan stepped out of the team picture and called for a unsuited player to come on the ice to get into the picture. Despite all of the hoopla and celebration going on, Brendan was away of where ALL of his teammates were and what would be important to them. After Brendan scored the winning NCAA championship goal in overtime after losing the last 2 years in overtime, one of the very first things out of his mouth was that the team had done this for all of the other guys the last several years who couldn't quite make it. Brendan is an unbelieveably unselfish person. At the team hockey banquet last year, Brendan brushed against a table cloth that moved everything on the table. Brendan replaced everything like it was. This may seem like a small thing but Brendan took responsibility for his actions even at this small level which you won't see in very many athletes today.
