Just a quick thought. I think Joe is rather naive if he really believes that the Maine administration just "now are discovering" this. Sue Tyler and Fred Hutchinson are not stupid people. I'm sure that they expected that there would be long lasting effects if they brought Walsh back, and I'm also sure that this was one of the things that was considered. In the end, they apparently decided that other things outweighed this. But to suggest that this is somehow a surprise, that some people would react like this, simply amazes me. I'm not a Mainer and I don't read the BDN often, but I have to tell you, I am really not impressed by what I have seen posted here of Joe's writings. The things he says make me wonder just how much he really understands of the areas it is his job to cover. --- --- Mike Machnik [log in to unmask] *HMM* 11/13/93 ***** (Part-Time) Color Voice of Merrimack Hockey WCAP 980 AM ***** ***** Unofficial Merrimack Hockey home page located at: ***** ***** http://www.tiac.net/users/machnik/MChockey/MChockey.html ***** >>> U.S. College Hockey Online http://www.uscollegehockey.com/ <<<
