World Junior Team USA head coach Jeff Jackson is the spotlight interview on
this week's version of Around the Rinks (now available for listening at
"http://www.audionet.com/sports/shows/rinks").

Anyone interested in the World Juniors, and the state of youth hockey in the US
in general, will enjoy the interview.

Jackson talks about:
        This team's chances
        Dan Lacouture
        Reasoner/Rasmussen
State of junior hockey in the US
Major junior players on the US team
Why being a full-time coach is a major benefit
What the US needs to do to compete more consistently at the junior level

Also in this show is an interview with Maine assistant coach Grant Standbrook,
who was the head coach for two games last week before the return of Shawn
Walsh. It is another good listen that provides insight into a respected coach
who was suddenly in the middle of NCAA controversey.

And finally, you can hear previews of all the tournaments -- especially the
Mariucci and Badger.

Back to World Juniors: Over the next few weeks we hope to get reports from
Europe on how Team USA is doing. Stay tuned.
