Could be that Crowder just has Maine's number because he knows their system
well enough.  He fared well against Maine when at Lowell, too.

They don't, NU is a private school.  Went there for two and a half years.
It almost definitely costs more than what Maine charges an out of state
student.  (Room and board are high since it's in Boston, but tuition has
gone up a lot too since I was there in the late 80s.)
 
FWIW, HE is split almost evenly between private and public schools.
Publics are Maine, Mass Amherst, Mass Lowell, and New Hampshire.  Privates
are BC, BU, Merrimack, Northeastern, and Providence.
