I thought I might have to add a few words to this as well. Here are some
of my opinions of the decreased postings to Hockey-L and Info-Hockey-L.

1) There were a lot of postings by people who were students at their respective
institutions. These people have now graduated and gone on to other things in
life, and therefore are not at every home game as they were when they were
students. Therefore, it is only natural to assume that a lot of the posters
have not been replaced by posters since they have graduated.

2) There is a lot more mailing lists that concentrate on the team that the
mailing list is about. A lot of college hockey fans are primarily concerned
about their team, therefore they will only skim the lists, and read more and
comment more on their individual team mailing lists.

3) It is quicker to scan web sites such as USCHO, USA Today, or ESPN for
information.

4) How much has the split between hockey-l and info-hockey-l affected postings
for each?

Just a few opinions and thoughts I thought I'd like to share.
