This isn't really relevant -- they'll get as much of a chance as any drafted player. Someone will invite them to camp, and we'll see. > And if taken by different teams, can they function as anything > other than linemates? I don't buy it --- If you want to hear St. Louis and Perrin talk about it themselves, listen to Week #2 (September 30) of Around the Rinks. Both St. Louis and Perrin talk about playing separately and getting a chance in the NHL, among other things. Both have said that if they are in a situation where they are being called up and down, with a chance to prove themselves, they would stay in the AHL -- but they wouldn't spend their careers in the minors, instead opting for Europe. From a selfish standpoint, let's hope that doesn't happen. > >From the "Now I'll probably jinx it" Department, Cornell has thus far held > the Elves to limited results over their careers: > > Date Score > ---- ----- > 11/13/93 Cornell 1 at Vermont 1 (ot) St. Louis 0-0-0, Perrin 0-0-0 > 02/04/94 Vermont 6 at Cornell 4 St. Louis 2-0-2, Perrin 0-1-1 > 11/12/94 at Cornell 3 Vermont 2 St. Louis 0-0-0, Perrin 0-1-1 > 02/03/95 Cornell 3 at Vermont 2 St. Louis 0-2-2, Perrin 1-1-2 > 11/17/95 Cornell 2 at Vermont 2 (ot) St. Louis 0-1-1, Perrin 0-2-2 > 02/10/96 at Cornell 2 Vermont 2 (ot) St. Louis 0-2-2, Perrin 0-2-2 This was mentioned on the current Around the Rinks :) Adam Wodon - AC Productions Host: "Around the Rinks" - The only National College Hockey talk show Listen 24 hours/day, 7 days/week at: http://www.audionet.com/sports/shows/rinks/ HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
