Yes, the Gutterson Elves *are* very impressive. We may well see this up
close and all too personal this Friday at Lynah.

But... are they even drafted by NHL teams? (Neither is listed in this
year's Sporting News Hockey Register, which should list all active draft
picks). And if taken by different teams, can they function as anything
other than linemates? I don't mean to provoke any flames whatever --
they've demonstrated a mastery of the college competition as a pair - but I
thing extrapolating their performance into separate professional careers is
even less certain than many strong college pairs.

From the "Now I'll probably jinx it" Department, Cornell has thus far held
the Elves to limited results over their careers:

Date Score
---- -----
11/13/93 Cornell 1 at Vermont 1 (ot) St. Louis 0-0-0, Perrin 0-0-0
02/04/94 Vermont 6 at Cornell 4 St. Louis 2-0-2, Perrin 0-1-1
11/12/94 at Cornell 3 Vermont 2 St. Louis 0-0-0, Perrin 0-1-1
02/03/95 Cornell 3 at Vermont 2 St. Louis 0-2-2, Perrin 1-1-2
11/17/95 Cornell 2 at Vermont 2 (ot) St. Louis 0-1-1, Perrin 0-2-2
02/10/96 at Cornell 2 Vermont 2 (ot) St. Louis 0-2-2, Perrin 0-2-2

Vermont's record in those 6 games:
1 win, 2 losses, 3 ties, 15 GF, 15 GA.

The Pair's Stats:
St. Louis 2-5-7
Perrin 1-7-10
