Here is a quick thought on one of the new rules. The rule to which I am refering, is the rule where the teams cannot do a warm up skate before the second and third period begins, only the starting line up from each team that are going to start the period are allowed to warm up. I think that to make things fair, only the referee should be allowed to warm up, the linesmen should be forced to wait like the players until play is about to begin to step onto the ice. Lighten up, it is a joke! Seriously, I do not care for this rule. Maybe I am wrong, but you would think the players would want to warm up their muscles again after not really using them for 20 minutes. Doesn't the lack of a proper warm up increase the chance of muscle injury? I would be interested to hear what everyone thinks of this new rule. ======================================================================== Lee Sveinson [log in to unmask] ************************************************************************ Last night I shot an elephant in my Pajamas -- how he got into my pajamas I'll never know! -- Groucho Marx ************************************************************************ ======================================================================= HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
