Here is a quick thought on one of the new rules.
 
The rule to which I am refering, is the rule where the teams cannot do a
warm up skate before the second and third period begins, only the
starting line up from each team that are going to start the period are
allowed to warm up.
 
I think that to make things fair, only the referee should be allowed to
warm up, the linesmen should be forced to wait like the players until
play is about to begin to step onto the ice.
 
Lighten up, it is a joke!
 
Seriously, I do not care for this rule.  Maybe I am wrong, but you would
think the players would want to warm up their muscles again after not
really using them for 20 minutes.  Doesn't the lack of a proper warm up
increase the chance of muscle injury?  I would be interested to hear what
everyone thinks of this new rule.
