I recently reported in my Maine/LSSU recap that Dan Shermerhorn, who scored three goals in the second period, scored a natural hat trick. I am not familar myself with what constitutes a natural hat trick, but both the broadcast yesterday and this morning's paper note that Shermerhorn's three goals in the second, they were not in succession either, was indeed a natural hat trick. So what is the definition of a "natural hat trick"? Is it three goals in a row, regardless of period, three goals in succession in the same period, or is it just three goals in a period? --- Deron Treadwell - [log in to unmask] Editor, US College Hockey Online USCHO: http://www.uscollegehockey.com HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
