There was a book along with the documentary -- but it is a sequal to Dryden's
first book, called THE GAME. That came out in about 1980. It chronicles the
Canadiens fight in 1979 for best record overall with the Islanders, but goes on
many fascinating side tangents. Dryden does all the writing himself -- no
ghost writer.
It is an absolutely brilliant and timeless book and a Must Read for any
hockey fan. I have never gotten around to getting HOME GAME -- I hope it is
close to as good as THE GAME.
