Reading Mike's post about Denver being in the top two or three next year
made me wonder if the WCHA is going to have the same problem that it had
last year, i.e. being too top-heavy. Last season, both CC and UM proved
that they were the two best teams in the league. While their battle for
the number one spot proved to be exciting, it seemed to take all of the
other teams in the league out of the spotlight for a shot at a national
playoff birth. I guess I would like to hear some comments on whether or
not the WCHA has a good chance of having 3 or 4 teams make it to the
post-season. Right now, CC and UM are the obvious favorites to make it.
What about DU, UW, St. Cloud or UMD? I agree with Mike that DU should
should be in the top three, I just wonder if the gap between second and
third will be so large, that the committee sees it as a weakness of the
league.

P.S. Here is my top five (take this for what it is worth!):
1. CC
2. UM
3. DU
4. UW
5. St. Cloud
