The guy's name is Rich Eisen, and he's one of the new SportsCenter anchors.
I saw him doing the 2am edition this last weekend, and he wasn't much better
then.
 
What really got me was that ESPN doesn't even show the NCAA basketball
tourney, but I guess they feel they need to put it ahead of things they have
paid to show.
 
I can think of a lot better things to show in the intermissions other than
basketball previews (they should've just had a show after the game, but I
guess they couldn't miss showing that tennis!).  How about a college hockey
year in review?  What about the college hockey plays of the year?  How about
a feature on the history of the Hobey Baker award (how many of the viewers
know who Hobey Baker was?)?  I could go on for a while, but I won't.
