Thankfully I have this list to rely on for local college hockey info, because here in Omaha there has been no talk (publicly) about UNOmaha going to D1 hockey. The Husker happy media do a pretty good job of shunning the UNO Mavericks and even Creighton. UNO is a 100% commuter school - no dorms and I don't know if there is a club team or not, so it's hard to say what support could come from the 20,000 (or so, I think) students. But I have a hard time believing that a town that has shown a great hunger for "pre-college" hockey (in several years of sold out USHL games) wouldn't go nuts about D1 (or D-anything) hockey. Brad On a personal level, and not implying that I am for or against UNO's admission to the WCHA, the thought of having to drive 5 miles as opposed to 400-some to see my Badgers is enticing to say the least! HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
