Why is ANYONE on this list (1) surprised or (2) upset by the ESPN comment that the hockey final was "the appetizer" for the squeakball game? (What does that make SportsCenter? The "breath mint"?) The fact that 350-SAT-ball is more popular than hockey by a 100:1 ratio is a GODSEND! Not only does this affect ticket pricing and availability, but it effectively cuts off the cost-effectiveness of the TV greedheads' employing sychophantic morons to jock-sniff the players and coaches and opine idiotically over aspects of a game they'd be incapable of appreciating even if they actually read their press notes. How do you think Red Berenson, Mike Schafer, or even Shawn "everybody's favorite" Walsh would react to the insipid droolings of a hockey version of the prophetically-named Dick Vitale. Laugh right in his face on camera, I'd hope. Viva obscurity! I'll renew my $150 red line, row 8 season ticket for the next fifty years and weep all the way that I'm missing the blessings of greater national exposure, thanks. And if I ever catch an Academy Award nominee at the ECAC title game, she damn well better be able to explain a neutral zone trap. Greg Berge Let's Go Red! Cornell BA '86, JD '99 (?)
