Tony, you need to escape that Southern California sun!  Take a road trip where
the trees don't come out until June 1 and anyone can walk on water.
 
Goalposts in college hockey use a shoe/peg system with the goal posts slipping
over plastic anchors drilled into the ice.  I think this system is far superior
to the NHL's magnetic posts, which come off when a goalie blows a puff of air
on them.  I don't ever remember seeing a college player significantly injured
solely by a collision with the goal stanchions since the shoe/peg system was
adopted.  There is also much fewer stoppages of play than the NHL.  Just another
aspect of college hockey that the NHL should consider to improve its pr
presentation.  Certainly a lot better than glowing pucks.
