Although I am not quoting, the rules state that a goal is a goal when it leaves the attacking teams' stick and enters the net (along with major mistakes by the netminder or the defending team and accidental tip ins off non stick items). So what is the problem? There is no way that this "trick" will become standard type play, so why not appreciate it for being a rare and interesting occurance? I was amazed... BTW, John, if hockey in 96-97 turns into ice lacross with skaters carrying the puck on the blades of their sticks all the time, then I'll eat this post.
