I didn't bring my paper with me, so I have few details, however,
Maine hung on to win 6-4 over Providence last night, Blair Allison
made 22 saves, if memory serves.

Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the recruit, because
the way the Portland Press Herald described him is what caught
my eye. According to the paper, Maine got a verbal committment
from a Minnesota high school player, described as (and I am not
making this up) a right-wing sniper. But I'm sure everything
will be fine as long as he stays away from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Sorry, the Herald set that line up for me and I just couldn't resist.

Tonight at 7:00 in Orono: The game for second place. UMass-Lowell
at Maine. I can't wait to see what happens if this goes to a
shootout...no pressure guys, no pressure at all.
The game will be televised on WCSH and WLBZ, the NBC affiliates
here in Maine.
