I personally spent about 80 consecutive hours on line outside Lynah before
seasons went on sale in '89 (I actually brought work with me, too), but I
was only 2nd in line (Section B, row 8, seats 15 and 16); the person in
front of me had been there for a few hours, eating Pop Tarts (tm) like they
were going out of style.  I don't remember his name.  That was the last
year they allowed lining up more than a day in advance; in '90, Cornell
Public Safety sent people home who tried to camp out, and the next year was
the Great Crescent Massacre of '91 (Spencer Patterson *still* owes me a
pen), followed by the Great Lynah Slumber Party of '92.
