SCSU or MTU will have played Thursday night, and it wouldn't be fair to make them play a rested CC team less than 24 hours later. Thus, the CC game should be the evening game. I don't think fairness should be sacrificed to such an extent for attendance purposes. (Not that that means the WCHA won't do it; After all, they're stupid enough to screw up their chances in the NCAA by not moving the Final Five...) And in another post: >I wish ESPN would try to accommodate college hockey fans a little better >and schedule the national championship game for the evening rather than >early afternoon. i am not entirely positive that it is ESPN's doing, but >I would think so. I would assume the reason behind this is that >there is a baseball game scheduled or something, but for one night, i >think the national spotlight should be on college hockey. But the problem is that it wouldn't be. It's not a baseball game, but an NC$$ basketball semi-final that causes the conflict. The hockey final was moved to Saturday afternoon so that it might not be completely eclipsed by the pituitary-ball games. (Ask Michigan fans about this...) Pam Sweeney Go Gophers!!! Ski-U-Mah!!!
