> >And two of these cities, New York (Columbia) and Philly (Penn) have >obvious choices. Which brings up what is likely a conincidence: >why is it that the two Ivy League schools without D1 hockey are >also the two in the largest cities? > Both of these schools have club level hockey teams that are itching to get something going. Penn is the most missed D-1 hockey program, since everyother sport they play they seem to kick ass at (save Lax where Brown & Princeton presently rule). Columbia on the other hand is cursed with a rep. that seems to suggest that they do not care for sports. Perhaps the Presidents of the Ivy Council should force this kiddies to get it together and fund a D-1 program...but until then.... And as far as dying greyhounds go......its a far leap to place New Haven and Providence in the same gene pool. This Florida kid thinks PVD is just fine, even after the walk down the graduation isle.
