I am just as confused as the rest about the hand pass rule. However, I can
clear up the question about the UVM nickname. The University of Vermont,
when it was founded in 1791, was called by its latin name "Universitas
Virdis Mountis." Meaning - University of the Green Mountains. That is what
the mountain range in the state is referred to. UVM always stayed as the
nickname.
