I have watched the replay of the goal and the net was definitely on its
mooring. It was knocked off the mooring after the goal if I remember
correctly.
 
Throughout the game, the officiating was pretty consistant. The Cole team
let the players skate and really looked to keep it pretty even. From a
Vermont standpoint, it was obvious that the Lake State game plan was to
try to keep Martin St. Louis and Eric Perrin in the corners or away from
the puck as much as possible. There could have been some holding calls,
however, the refs ignored them in favor of letting the players skate.
Plus, St. Louis, Perrin, and JC Ruid attempted to establish a presence
and could have been called more. All in all, it was fair to both teams.
