One more comment of the officiating : After the Minn-Mich game, Coach Woog and Berenson met at center ice - not unusual - but walked together to the side of the rink where the officials were standing and shook their hands (guess I haven't seen that much - maybe it is a new NCAA rule (;-) ). I didn't notice that there was any conversation and certainly not any motions or apparent words - just courteous handshake followed by walking off the ice to their respective locker rooms. I haven't figured out whether there was any meaning to this other than the pleasantness of the surface or not - maybe the coaches both felt that their teams had adapted well enough to the calls that they could live with it. Interesting. -glen- HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
