Well, the "Travel Plans" section of my 1995-96 Minnesota Hockey Yearbook
lists bus rides to St. Cloud, Duluth, Madison, and Milwaukee (College
Hockey Showcase). The Gophers flew to Alaska, CC, Denver, Michigan Tech
and North Dakota. (Minnesota did not play at NMU this year, but would have
flown, I'm sure.) Milwaukee, at about 6 to 6.5 hours (With good weather -
right Carol? - and depending on how the Wisconsin Highway Patrol is
treating out-of-state motorists lately.) is probably about as far as they'd
bus it. So even Minnesota, relatively centrally located in the WCHA, flies
to 6/9 other WCHA sites. (Granted they're also much closer to an airline
hub than most of the other schools...)
