> I personally think that the large attendance thatt year was a sign > that HockeyFest would have been a huge success if the ECAC had not > felt overshadowed by Hockey East. > I agree wholeheartedly. Personally, I was crushed when the ECAC pulled out of Boston for it's tournament. I understand the geography involved for a majority of the ECAC teams, but as Mike had mentioned earlier - HE playing at the Fleet center would increase HE exposure and benefit the league, and I think the same holds true for the ECAC. If HE is indeed thinking of pulling out the Fleet, I would love to see them talk to the ECAC about a HockeyFest concept again. Being a college hockey fan, it would be great to see alternating ECAC / HE matchups. Given the chance of a HockeyFest concept of less than 1 in 1000000, if nothing else, please lets see the ECAC and HE increase the regular season matchups between the leagues. Perhaps if Clarkson / Cornell and Lowell had more common opponents, it would make tournament selection time that much more interesting. PS Before all the New Yorkers jump on me, I really can't blame anyone for wanting the tournament in Lake Placid or Albany, I would just love to see a return to the garden / Fleet.
