With all the talk about MSU being at Munn and the issue of selling out if MSU was shipped out east, I thought I would add this little point. Two years ago, when MSU held the West Regionals, The building was packed for the MSU, LSSU, and U of M games. The final game of the weekend where Minnesota met Lowell was another matter. Most of the arena left and you could pretty much find a seat anywhere you would like in the building. I don't know if this was because it was the last game, but I would guess it is because there were not any more CCHA teams in the final game. The fact is, most of the fans at many games are not as informed as many of us on HOCKEY-L about College Hockey as a whole. The fans know about their Conference (e.g. CCHA) and after that it just doesn't matter. As much as I wish they all were HUGE hockey fans, many are at Munn just to see another game with MSU. Just something else to add to the discussion. GO STATE!! Matt HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
