You are not alone! The crowd at the BU student union definitely agreed. There were a few dozen people screaming and making kicking motions at the the TV after the goal, and especially after the replay (you know, the way all sports fans think that if they yell at the TV loud enough that the ref will hear them and change the call). To all of our surprise and dismay, no one at the Fleet Center seemed to notice: the refs, the announcers, the players. That was the real shocker. I didn't notice Noble or the BU defensmen chasing the refs across the ice to plead their case. And you have to figure they had a better view than the TV audience. Since Dillbough was given credit for the goal, the ruling could not have been that the puck was kicked in by the defensemen; Dillbough must have played it somehow. Seeing that the stick was NOT on the ice does leave me suspicious however. I also agree that this was not the reason BU lost. The defense got beaten. Noble looked shakey (esp on PC's 2nd goal) and the offense only turned it up on occassion. BU still hasn't realized that it cannot count on a 10 minute surge to win otherwise lackluster games. At this time of the year, it takes 60 minutes. When they play 60, they win.
