This benefits all those that suffer from the injury. Look at the message that Christopher Reeve has spread since he was injured during his riding accident. He will testify before Congress to about the Kennedy Bill with the Jeffords ammendment that would raise the ceiling on catastrophic care limits. Travis is still young and through out his press conference yesterday, you could detect the hope that research will be there to benefit all those who suffer from a spinal chord injury. The last sentence is true to a degree. He did receieve a lot of his attention because he is a college athlete. However, had Roy not been as special a student-athlete as he was, the masses of people who have not only sent money but also cards would not be there. To imply that is pockets are jingling is a callous statement. HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
