In a high scoring, one-sided contest Saturday night, the Clarkson Golden Knights defeated the Yale Bulldogs by a score of 7-2. Clarkson scored five first period goals to Yale's 1. The Clarkson goals were scored by Freshman Ben Maidment, Dave Seitz (ppg), Dana Mulvihill (gwg), Nick Windsor, and Steve Palmer, with the lone Yale goal coming from Mc Cullough. In the second period it was all CU as both Mulvihill (ppg) and Seitz scored to make it 7-1. Finally, Yale scored another on CU backup goalie Kerry Blanchard to make it 7-2. Dave Seitz had three more points tonight giving him 95 for the season. Also, CU starting goalie, Dan Murphy played only the first period and then was pulled by Mark Morris. Kerry Blanchard played the next 37 minutes and then the closer Chris Bernard came in to secure the victory for the Golden Knights. CU's sweep this weekend along with SLU's split with Princeton/Yale, Makes the top three teams in the ECAC that much closer. We know have Vermont in first, followed by St. Lawrence in second ( a point behind) and Clarkson in third (2 points behind Vermont). Vermont has Harvard/Brown and Princeto/Yale left on their schedule, while SLU and CU have Harvard/Brown and Colgate/Cornell left on 'their schedule. Should be a great couple of weeks folks. Until then LET'S GO TECH!!! _____________________ Siren R. Chudgar '96 Clarkson University LET'S GO TECH!!!
