Tonite in Providence, Cornell defeated Brown 6-4. The Big Red really jumped out early scoring two quick goals and took a 3-1 lead into the first intermission. Brown stormed back in the second on some Cornell defensive lapses and were ahead 4-3 at one time. After that, it was all Cornell as the Big Red closed the game with 3 unanswered goals. Freshman sensation Kyle Knopp had the hat trick for Cornell. Jason Elliott earned the win in net despite giving up some shaky goals. Elliott made some key saves in the 3rd on Brown scoring chances. Cornell finishes Ivy League play undefeated (9-0-1) and returns home to face RPI and Union next weekend.
