This is entirely comparable to numerous teams in the Metro Boston Hockey
League. There are the Jr. Terriers (they play at BU), the Jr. Eagles (they
played at Conte until they switched to Marlboro), the Jr. Chiefs (who play
at Tully and have not made the switch to Jr. River Hawks), and the Jr. Friars
(out of Providence). There is also the Jr. Cardinals team which is a "feeder"
to a high school team out of the same rink, the Bishop Guertin Cardinals. All
of these schools use the same colors, play out of the same rink, etc.

To say that they are a "developmental squad" for the universities involved is
a *huge* stretch. Odds are that none of the players on a given team will
actually play for that university.
