In regards to Brad's post: a similar incident occurred with Laker sophomore
defenseman Ryan Sharpe this season.  Sharpe was hit in the Blue-White game
and thought he had a charley horse.  By the time he got back to the locker
room, his leg looked like a watermelon.  He had "blown" several arteries in
his thigh.  Bare with me, my medical background is weak.  He had his leg
opened from the hip to the knee and "drained" for several days.  He has yet
to play a game this season, although he is skating again.
