The NY/NJ/PA/DE/MD area has a lot of potential for hockey and has been
this way for more than 20 years. We, who live and work here, have
realized that hockey will grow at an accelerated rate regardless of
whether ice hockey or in-line hockey facilities are built.

One question you have to ask yourself is why Spectacor (the owner of the
Philadelphia Flyers and the Corestates Spectrum) would want to put an
American Hockey League franchise in Philadelphia itself, when there's
already an NHL franchise? The reason is because people in the Delaware
Valley love hockey. (Whether it is actually a good idea to have the NHL
and the AHL in Philadelphia is another issue.)
