Still waiting for Friday, when the fun begins, I have a new question. On the College Hockey Message Board (part of the WWW homepage), I saw along the lines of "my conference is better than your conference". I think there's merit to that line of thinking - its naive to think that all conferences are created equal every year. Back to my point: My question is can ECAC teams like St. Lawrence, Vermont and so on ever make it into the top 5 in the computer rankings? Looking at this year, its fair to say, based on various rankings, that Princeton, Yale, RPI, Union and Dartmouth are near the bottom. I think Clarkson has been a shining example over the years of what I'm saying - how can they get the top-notch respect, by polls or rankings, when they play so many mediocre teams? Along those lines, when was the last time an ECAC team was #1 in one of the computer rankings? #2? #3? -- from: LTJG Kenneth A.
